Sarcasm. You know what it is, right? Let me give you an example. Your friend runs up to you with a new idea and is about to burst with enthusiasm. After he / she gives you the full scenario, you say something like “and in whose world will that work?” Down, his friend walks away. So what have you accomplished?

1) you hurt (and possibly lost) a friend

2) you made yourself look like an idiot

3) you showed fear

“Fear?” You say “What are you talking about?”

Sarcasm is a form of fear. You’re afraid your friend has a good idea, so you shoot him. After all, if it didn’t occur to you, why should someone else? Let me give you an example.

You’re walking down the street and you see a man with a sign that says “I’ll work for food,” and you say something like, “Hey, get a job, bum!” Why did you say that? You do not know the circumstances of the man. he could be sick or out of work, or a hundred other not-so-nice things. The last thing he needs is for you to make fun of him. Why did you do that? Why are you afraid of being like him? You could have reached into your pocket and given him something (no, not fluff) or nodded understandingly. But you chose not to. And that didn’t help either of us.

The Law of Attraction clearly tells us that the thoughts and emotions we express come back to us. So what do you want me to come back to you? Fear, jealousy, hatred? Or do you prefer compassion, love and friendship?

Think about this the next time you are tempted to open your mouth and say the wrong thing. Sarcasm belongs to the comedy scene, but not to real life. So put it on the shelf and leave it there forever.
