The family structure, like society in general, has undergone significant changes. Most of the time when a person imagines the definition of a family, the figure of a mother, father and children is what comes to mind. The shape or structure does not show how healthy it is or how they work.

Structures are the substantial composition of members in relation to each other without regard to roles and functions. There are four famous types of family structure; Nuclear, single parent, extended and without children. These four types of family structure give the variety of forms that they can present.

The first structure of the four types of is Nuclear. A nuclear family consists of a mother, a father, and their biological or adoptive descendants, often called a traditional family. This was the most admired of the four types of structure. It can be a nurturing environment for raising children as long as there is love, time with the children, emotional support, low stress, and consistent financial upbringing.

The second structure of the four types of family structure is single parent. His most notable transformation of the four types of family structure was the enlarged Single Parent. Children are more likely to live in a single parent structure for reasons other than the death of a parent.

One in four children is born to single mothers, usually teenage mothers. One of the most luxurious things for a single mother is childcare. Single families often have less pressure compared to the pressure in families before divorce. In general, parents and children are more willing to work together to find solutions to solve household chores in single-parent families.

The third structure of the four structure types is the Extended Family. The extended family is two or more adults from different generations of a family, who share a home. It consists of more than parents and children; It can be a family that includes parents, children, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, adopted children. Sometimes children are raised by their grandparents when their biological parents have died or can no longer care for them. Extended families can be found all over the world in different communities and countries. In all four types of structure, the nuclear family is more likely to become an extended family than any other type of family.

The fourth and last structure of the four types of family structure is the Family without Children. A childless family is basically a group of people from all variety of backgrounds and all walks of life who, for whatever reason, have never had children. Others may have children at some point in the future but are not yet ready, and some have sought children but were unable to due to a variety of obstructing social and/or biological forces resulting in unplanned childlessness. To replace children, children’s families often have pets as a substitute.

There are a variety of demonstrations on the four types of family structure and the changes that are taking place within the family. Despite the changing lifestyles and increasing personal mobility that characterize modern society, the family remains the most intimate element of contemporary life.
