Follow these EAT guidelines to improve your website’s SEO
You know what they say you are what you eat.

Of course, when people say this, they are usually referring to their diet and how their food choices affect their health.

But what about the health of your website?

It turns out that what your website ‘eats’ also plays a role!

I’m referring, of course, to EAT, part of Google’s new search guidelines. If you want to create content that Google likes, you MUST follow EAT!

EAT stands for three important criteria that Google uses when evaluating your site:

  • expertise
  • Authority
  • Integrity

Going forward, businesses looking to attract more web traffic will need to consider Google’s EAT guidelines.

I’m not sure how to do that? Don’t worry. As with all things SEO, we’ve got your back.

Read on to understand these guidelines, plus how to use EAT to greatly improve your website.

Understanding Google EAT
EAT is one of the metrics that Google can use to assess the quality of a site. Let’s take a look at what they’re looking for explicitly in each category.

1. Experience
I would not ask your dentist to change your oil. We all know that experience matters, and that includes the Internet.

So Google also likes to gauge the experience of a website builder, to see if it’s a good fit for the types of questions being searched.

That means Google likes to see proof that you really are an expert in your field (and don’t worry, we’ll cover the ways to do that below).

2.Authority
Authority takes the experience one step further.

Imagine you’ve been secretly making cupcakes for 20 years and have perfected your recipe. sure you would have some expertise in cupcake making (good luck!).

But if no one has ever tasted your cupcakes, then you wouldn’t be an authority on the world of cupcakes. No one would seek his advice or recipes.

The same goes for websites. It’s great to have a lot of high-quality content on your website. But Google is looking for ways to determine if other people really worth So happy

Ultimately, Google wants to display websites with recognized authority in their field.

3. Reliability
And as you probably guessed by now, it’s important that Google sees you and your website as trustworthy. That means they will reward content that they feel is honest, accurate, and true.

Again, we’ll cover how to increase your EAT below.

But first, keep in mind that EAT is especially important for websites that deal with topics like your health, finances, and security. Nicknamed YMML (‘your money and your life’), these are areas where delivering the right results really matters, sometimes with life and death stakes.

So Google is much more critical of YMML sites than others.

Search engine optimization is the process of attracting organic (free) traffic from search results on search engines. You want people who type keywords relevant to your business into search engines to see your site right away.

If your business doesn’t appear at the top of the organic results, potential customers won’t even know you exist and will turn to a competitor.

Here are 3 important SEO tips you need to know now.

Why is EAT important for SEO?
To understand how Google SEO works, you must first understand the goals of Google.

Remember (and believe it or not), Google has competition. There are other search engines out there.

Therefore, Google’s goal is to be the best search engine available so that they continue to dominate Internet searches (they currently account for 92.18% of all Internet searches, so clearly, they are doing something right!) !).

To achieve this goal, Google has to consistently show the best results for whatever keyword someone is searching for. They want to make sure they deliver search results that answer their users’ questions with high-quality content.

Because if they stop giving good results, people will stop using them.

And it’s in that “high quality content” piece where EAT comes in.

Fortunately for business owners, EAT fits in with what should already be important elements of your brand.

To be successful in any business venture, you need to position yourself as a trusted and authoritative expert. So, the more you can create great content, that both your audience and Google love, the better your website will perform.

How to improve the credibility and authority of your website
So how do you create content that Google likes? Think about your website’s EAT and let that inform your content, marketing and branding decisions.

To improve your EAT score, consider the following tips:

  • Do some good keyword research to make sure you’re providing exactly the type of content your audience is looking for.
  • Become a quality author by being active on social media, interacting with other influencers, and writing guest posts on other sites.
  • Make sure your website includes reviews and testimonials
  • Make sure your business information is clear and easy to find and include your company history, along with team bios and a stellar contact page.
  • Include links on your site to other authorities (as we linked to this authority site earlier in this post) and internal links that help Google understand the structure of your site.
  • Try to make sure there are no grammar, broken links, or factual errors on your site.

Ultimately, you want to make it clear who you are and what your company is all about, along with why you’re the real deal in your field.

And (how many times do we have to say this?), content is still king, and always will be king!

So one of the best ways to make sure you follow all of these steps is to make sure you’re regularly posting quality content on your blog.

Ultimately, building a good SEO website requires research and work. Staying on top of Google best practices is a full-time job.

That’s why hiring a specialist will give you the best ROI for this important business investment.
