ASUS has now become a household name in the world, but a few years ago it was quite unknown. We all think and continue to think that it is some Chinese brand.

It is actually a Taiwanese company.

The name “ASUS” is taken from a Greek word Pegasus which means “the winged horse“.

ASUS was founded by four hardware engineers who previously worked for Acer in 1989.

There is a great story about ASUS initial success.

The company created a prototype for a motherboard that uses the Intel 486 processor without any access to the actual processor.

They approached Intel for a processor to test and Intel was facing some issues with the processor so these geniuses figured it out and guess what, ASUS started getting engineering samples from Intel earlier than all their competitors and after that they didn’t there was going back.

ASUS created some of the most reliable motherboards still in use today.

In 2008, ASUS was divided into three parts:

Asus – focusing on brand name computers and electronics.

sticky – focusing on OEM manufacturing of motherboards and components.

unihan corporation – focusing on non-PC manufacturing (cases, etc.).

ASUS Pad Phone It is a product that needs a special mention.

It was first released in 2011 and the features were extraordinary (compared to any phone of that time):

  • 5-inch Full HD display (on phone)

  • 2gb ram

  • 10-inch Full HD display (tablet with dock)

  • 64GB internal memory

  • quad core processor

  • 13 megapixel camera and much more.

Some strange facts about ASUS:

  • ASUS notebooks are one of the first devices of its kind in reach Mount Everest (working well too).

  • In 2001, ASUS released wireframe display drivers that allowed gamers to use wallhack, advertising the settings as “special weapons”. This was criticized by the gaming community for encouraging unfair gaming, and after that, Punkster’s anti-cheat software began detecting and blacklisting players using ASUS display drivers.

  • ASUS Zenfone 2 (recently released) is the first of its kind have a 4gb ram after that many companies followed the same.

The best thing about ASUS is that it is not constant, it is always trying something new unlike the big brands Apple and Samsung. ASUS in every way can be a great competition for all the big brands and we hope to see some more innovative developments very soon.
