The Olympics come and go. As always, it’s
an exciting event with its dramatic twists and turns,
joys, surprises and disappointments like these great
athletes performed at their best in front of millions, if not
billions of fans for the glory of representing their country
and possibly receive a gold medal.

You too can experience the same emotion in your life.
What are you doing now to achieve your “goal” medal?
What are you doing to reach your goals in life?

You don’t need to be a world-class athlete to achieve
success in life. However, you can use many of the same
techniques that these athletes use to achieve their goals.

Here are five tips to help you stand on the
platform of the winner in life:

1. Create passion with goal setting
Take the time to write down goals that excite you. Ask
yourself the following questions:

* How will I feel when I reach these goals?

* What prevents me from achieving these goals today?

* What are the times and dates I want to achieve these
goals?

* What resources do I need to achieve these goals?

* What is my plan B, or secondary route, to achieve these
goals?

2. Believe in greatness
Once you have created your goals, take the time to visualize
His achievements. World-class athletes visualize the
victory before it happens. Take 15-30 minutes just before
you go to bed or get up in the morning and do what
Following:

* Find a quiet place.

* Quiet your mind, slowing your breathing.

* Visualize that you are already achieving any goal you set for yourself.
wants to achieve. How does it look? As it does
feel?

World-class athletes prepare yesterday, today,
and tomorrow for success through intense training and
sacrifice. What are you doing to prepare for your
successful? Do a self-analysis to know how prepared you are
are today in relation to their objectives and what resources
and the skills you need to acquire to achieve your goals. What
sacrifices you are willing to make in order to achieve
your goals? If it’s a promotion, find out what skills,
Education and resources are required to obtain that position.
If it’s a six-figure income, what sacrifices are you willing to make?
do to notice? Less television, more education?

I always say, “If you want something bad enough, act like it.”
you got it.” That’s what champions do.
They already believe that they are going to win a championship, a title, a
gold medal. They have a positive and self-reliant attitude.
and set the bar for others to try to aspire to.

I love tennis. One of my favorite tennis players is Roger.
Federer, the number 1 player in the world. when looking
he plays, I can see that he owns the field. In the stillness of him, still
confident manner, he tells his opponent, “I’m #1, I’m
the best!” Then he goes out and wins. With his positive
attitude, he expects to win every time.

How can you apply this principle? Well, an example is if
you are a manager and you want to be promoted to vice
President, act like a vice president today. That means
dress like a vice president, make decisions like a vice president
president, leading people like a vice president, etc. Also
what it means is delegating certain tasks so that you can
learn the skills required of a Vice President (Read Delegate to
accelerate success). Do you hope to be successful in any
project you are involved in?

3. Create a group of experts
There is a saying, “A wise person learns from his own
mistakes, a wise person learns from those of other people
mistakes.” That’s what a group of experts will do for you.
The winning athletes have a group of experts to
make fewer mistakes and take less time to achieve your goals.
A group of experts is a variety of people dedicated to
give you the best advice, feedback, training, etc., so that
you can achieve your goals faster. The group of masterminds also
gives you encouragement when needed. In sports, this
can be a coach, a trainer, a physical trainer, a manager and
agent. In your situation at work, it could be the following:

* A mentor who has intensive corporate knowledge and can
maneuver it around “corporate land mines”

* An HR specialist with in-depth knowledge of
skills needed for promotion

* A manager who wants to show off his skills to impress
your manager

*If you are thinking of starting a business or have already started a business,
can be the following:

* Lawyer(s)

* Counter

* Tax expert

* Business partner in a non-competitive field

* Retired Executive

* Association leaders

* Customers

Note: Be very careful who you allow into your
mastermind group Ask yourself, “Who can help me achieve
my goals through skills, knowledge, and honest feedback?”
Honest feedback is the key. You don’t want people to say “yes”
Around you; you want people who give you positive
feedback that will put you back on the path to success.

4. Accept the challenges
World-class athletes accept all challenges as a form of
them to go to the next level. They have a “go ahead”
attitude and you can see it in his eyes. They realize that the
the spotlight is on them and they enjoy it. They are bold in their
actions and are not afraid to make mistakes. if they do a
mistake or have a loss, they “own” them. what i mean by
“own their mistakes” is that they say, “I made the
mistakes today,” or “I didn’t play to my full potential today.
By taking responsibility for their mistakes, they take responsibility
for their actions. By appropriating their actions,
Take responsibility for improving your performance. They take
time to learn from any setback.

What challenges await you at work? How can you
improve your community by taking a leadership role? What
challenges await you at home? Face them, embrace them,
Learn from them and grow with them.

5. Never give up!
H. Ross Perot, the billionaire businessman and pass
presidential candidate said the following:

“Most people give up just when they are about to achieve
success, they give up at the last minute of the game, one
foot of a game-winning touchdown.

How many times have we seen people overcome
insurmountable odds of success? In sports, the 2003-04
Detroit Pistons won the NBA championship against the
mighty Los Angeles Lakers. Underdog Villanova
The college basketball team won the NCAA College
Basketball Championship against the mighty Georgetown
University.

There is the story of Gastón Gaudio. Many of you may be

tennis player from Argentina who turned professional in 1996. During

he could win more games… and he did. then the incredible
it happened… he won the French Open.

Gastón, just a month before, did not have enough money to

tennis world took notice. He won because he believed,
He persevered and did not give up.

Do you believe in yourself, in your goals, enough to defeat any
obstacle that can stand in the way of your success? Take a
take a hard look at your goals and say, as Gaston did, “I believe in
me and my goals They are worth my efforts. Nope
