Feng shui crystals are commonly used tools in the art of placement. These spherical balls range in size from 20mm to 50mm. The size of the ball should match the size of the room, for example larger crystal balls are more suitable for larger rooms and vice versa. A 40mm or 50mm ball is typically used in large rooms like a living room, 30mm ones are good for the bedroom, and 20mm ones are ideal for the bathroom. Lots of people also use 20mm balls inside their cars. Transparent crystal balls are the most used, known for being able to activate the ‘qi’ of an entire space. Other colors include pink, purple, blue, green, and more. You can use them specifically to enhance the different areas of your life that color in the right place is intended for. To find the best location for these colored balls, simply use a bagua map to find out where each color belongs within a given space. Then hang the colored ball in the appropriate area.
There are a number of structural problems in a house that will require the crystal ball to act as a remedy. For example, if the front door leads directly to a staircase, the flow of ‘qi’ will be affected as soon as you enter the house. Hang a crystal between the front door and the stairs. Other problem areas include long hallways, an entryway that’s missing an actual door, or corners with sharp edges. The placement of furniture will sometimes interfere with the flow of ‘qi’ and if rearranging it is out of the question, crystal balls can be used as a simple solution.
For best results, hang the crystal ball from the ceiling with red string. The length of the string can also play a role, multiples of 9 are supposed to be the best length. Make sure the rope is 9 inches, 18 inches, or 27 inches. Dust can easily accumulate on these balls, make sure you clean them regularly. Layers of dust will only make them less effective. With proper use and care, feng shui crystals can be very powerful tools.
