Considering the rate and number of high-income people struggling with obesity and overweight, one would accept why doctors and health coaches are asking thousands of dollars from patients suffering from the disease. It wasn’t until I visited my grandmother and was amazed at her accelerated rate of losing up to 30 pounds in just a fortnight without paying a dime to a health coach or getting a bill for monthly pills. Correct.

Overweight and obesity are major risk factors for a number of chronic diseases, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and cancer. Overweight and obesity, once considered a problem only in high-income countries, is now increasing dramatically in low- and middle-income countries, particularly in urban settings.

I received a call from my grandmother just 2 weeks after her visit to attend my birthday. She invited me to a special dinner that was Mother’s Day. I was so looking forward to meeting the rest of my siblings again and therefore took a day off from work and left the second day with my girlfriend to spend a night with her. I got there in the afternoon and was so in awe of the young looking damsel that she opened the door to welcome us when I pressed the bell. Incredible, my grandmother has lost up to 15 kg in less than 3 weeks since we left. I was expecting her to bring some boxes of pills when I asked what the secret to her rapid weight loss was. Corn silk? Impossible was my response when she told me. My grandmother smiled, she sat me down and explained how she uses Cornsilk, Honey and Lemon to reduce 15Killo of fat in just 2 weeks. I found it very difficult to believe him until I did some extensive research on the usefulness of Cornsilk and was convinced.

Cornsilk, known botanically as Zea Mays, is an herbal remedy made from stigmas, the thread-like yellowish strands found inside corn husks. The stigmas are found on the female flower of maize, a grain that is also known as maize and is a member of the grass family (Gramineae or Poaceae). According to my grandmother, She dries Cornsilks and keeps them at home, instead of morning coffee, she always has Cornsilks added with lemon and pure honey. According to her, to make this work faster, “I stop eating cholesterol foods but I really focus on having the cornsilk tea.”

With reference to my studies, I could see that Cornsilk is also useful as a cure for heart problems, jaundice, malaria. Cornsilk is rich in vitamin K, which makes it useful for controlling bleeding during childbirth. In conclusion, I will advise those struggling with obesity to use Cornsilk, as it is natural and without side effects, instead of spending money on pills that rarely show any effect.
