There have been many video games that have been adapted into movies. With these adaptations, there would normally be a main character who has a costume based on someone from the video game itself. Whether it’s the same character, a familiar face, or someone completely different, how the person you focus on is important to the reception of the film adaptation. Some notable adaptations I’d like to see are Hitman and Assassin’s Creed.

In Hitman, the star of the show is a hit man known as Agent 47. 47 has appeared in nine games: Hitman Codename 47, Hitman Silent Assassin, Hitman Contracts, Hitman Blood Money, Hitman Trilogy, which is a remake of the previous one. three, Hitman Absolution, Hitman Go, which is an imaginative mobile game, Hitman Sniper, and a 2016 reboot just titled ‘Hitman’. 47 has two films to his credit, which gives more to compare.

Both Hitman movies feature Agent 47, and costume-wise, it’s hard to go wrong. Things for him to look for are a bald head, a barcode tattoo on the back of his head, a black suit with a red tie and white shirt, and possibly two silver guns. Timothy Olyphant from the 2007 film shows all of this. Rupert Friend from the 2015 film also shows all of this. The easy disguise is equal to the accuracy of the easy disguise.

In Assassin’s Creed, the main star tends to change between a few games. The games and their respective main characters that I will analyze are: Altair from Assassin’s Creed, Ezio Auditore from Assassin’s Creed 2 and Connor Keyway from Assassin’s Creed 3. The protagonists, although different people from different times, share some qualities due to the group they belong to. These attributes are white robes with a hood large enough to obscure the face, long sleeves, loose leg-length fabrics that are not part of the costume’s pants, and a retractable shoulder blade on the left arm. There’s only been one movie in the series, but plenty of games, so some comparisons can still be made.

Michael Fassbender plays the titular assassin in the film adaptation of Assassin’s Creed. The Fassbender costume contains black robes with a large hood, double blades on the arms, fabric that flows down the legs, and long sleeves. Of these main costume options, the differences are in the color of the robe and the additional arm. However, the arm blade difference can be ignored because Ezio contains double blades in most of his promotional art. Costume accuracy is mostly covered, except for not using traditional white. Adaptation is accepted.
