When buying a new airsoft sniper rifle or AEG (automatic electric pistol), price is usually the main thing people are concerned about. Unfortunately, this can sometimes cause you problems in the long run, as many of the websites that sell airsoft guns offer very poor customer service (for example, having to wait 1-2 weeks before your purchase ships). . Also, I’ve heard many horror stories of customers buying faulty airsoft guns and then not even receiving a replacement gun, among other things.
Another thing to watch out for with many of the online airsoft stores/websites is inaccurate product images. For some reason, it seems abnormally difficult to get quality product images for many of the Chinese-made airsoft rifles (especially airsoft sniper rifles), so it’s quite common for an airsoft retailer to simply post an image of a airsoft gun that is SIMILAR to the real airsoft gun they are selling. This usually isn’t a huge problem, as most of them are pretty much identical anyway, but it can certainly create some confusion in some cases, especially with airsoft rifles that have actual brand logos on them.
The other important thing to consider is where the online airsoft store is actually located. Most of them are located in California, due to the fact that they import their products from China, and California is where the products are actually dropped off (they come in a big ship). As long as the store is located in the US, it doesn’t really matter that much; what you want to look for is a store that is located in china as it will literally take WEEKS to receive any order you buy from them (at least in most cases).
Now, as for the websites that I recommend, I have to say that there are not many. In terms of lower prices (along with pretty good service), I would definitely say airsplat.com is the winner there, especially when it comes to airsoft sniper rifles. If you’re looking for great prices (but possibly a bit higher than airsplat), I’d go with pyramydair.com.
I’ve done a LOT of business with pyramyair, and they have better (and faster) customer service than airsplat, and they also have a better return policy (pyramydair offers a 30 day return policy, while airsplat only offers a return policy of 3 days) . Last but not least is airsoftgi.com. They offer pretty good prices, combined with good service and fast shipping times too. I also know many people who have dealt with them and they all ended up being very happy customers. However, I personally like Pyramydair and Airsplat better, and by FAR have done the most business with those 2 websites.
There are many more airsoft stores online, but I would be very careful when dealing with them. As I said above, there are a LOT of sites that offer pretty horrible service, especially when it comes to shipping time. In fact, I think long shipping times are probably one of the most common complaints I read on airsoft forums. My best advice would be to do some research on a particular retailer before you go ahead and give them your hard earned money!
