Benefits without risk
Most people know sports arbitrage betting or sure betting as a loophole that allows the bettor to make a profit without risk, regardless of the outcome of the event. This occurs because the range of odds offered by bookmakers for an event can vary greatly. There may be several reasons for this:
a) The sport being covered may be outside of a particular bookmaker’s area of expertise, for example a UK bookmaker offering odds on an NBA game.
b) Lack of local knowledge. The geographic location of the bookmaker can make it difficult to obtain information about an event. eg Australian rules football for a German bookmaker.
c) Location and flow of money. The large amounts of money being wagered on a local team will likely mean that a local bookie may lower your odds. For example, a local Liverpool bookmaker would probably have lowered their odds of Liverpool winning the Champions League second leg against Chelsea due to the volume of local money being bet on the home team. However, a London bookie may have experienced the opposite with Londoners betting on Chelsea.
Most of the larger, more established bookmakers have their own odds compilers who are experts in their field. However, not all bookmakers have the resources to do this, some of the smaller bookmakers will simply follow the lines of their larger competitors.

I’m sure you’ll agree, one of the key ingredients for success in this business is turnover. 2% may not sound like a lot, but if you do it 2-3 times a day, 5 days a week, it soon starts to add up.
Sports arbitrage betting is not the key to untold riches and please note that it is risk free and not effortless.
