Ruby Tuesday has good food. I’m sure you know what I mean if you’ve ever dined there. I love the burgers, the steaks, the salad bar, and everything in between. They are one of my best restaurant options if I want a burger or salad for dinner. Ruby Tuesday also has other delicious food. I recently started researching Ruby Tuesday recipes. I was surprised by the amount of information available. If you’re having a hard time paying your bills in a tough economy, you might want to consider making some of these Ruby Tuesday recipes at home. If you want to try three Ruby Tuesday recipes, here are my top three recommendations along with the recipe that goes with them.

Ruby Tuesday turkey burger

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon red pepper flakes

1 teaspoon dried minced onion (optional)

1 egg

1/2 cup crushed cheese-flavored crackers

Preheat a grill over high heat.

In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, diced onion, egg, and crackers with your hands. Form four patties of fat.

Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 5 minutes per side, until cooked through.

Ruby Tuesday Crab Cakes

1 pound. Crabmeat

1 beaten egg

1/2 cup crackers, crushed

1/3 cup minced fresh parsley

2 tablespoons of mayonnaise

1/2 teaspoon paprika or Old Bay seasoning

cayenne pepper or Morton’s spicy salt

onion powder for dusting

butter or olive oil for frying

Remove any shells from the crab. In a medium bowl, whisk together the crushed cracker crumbs, egg, parsley, and mayonnaise until just moistened, but don’t over mix. Add salt and pepper.

Form five or six cakes, 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick. Place in the refrigerator on a cookie sheet for at least an hour to set. Sprinkle lightly with cayenne pepper or hot Morton’s salt and onion powder.

In a heavy skillet, fry the crab cakes in butter (or olive oil), turning once until both sides are golden brown (about 10 minutes).

Ruby Tuesday Broccoli Salad

1/3 cup of hot water

4 tablespoons sugar

4 tablespoons vinegar

1 cup of mayonnaise

2 heads of broccoli cut into small pieces

16 oz sharp cheddar cheese, chopped

2 pounds crisp, crumbled cooked bacon

1 medium red onion, chopped

Put the broccoli in a bowl.

Dissolve the sugar in hot water.

For more broccoli

Add the remaining ingredients, mix well, refrigerate for a couple of hours.
