What is a troll? He is a hairy and ugly creature that lives under a bridge. However, there is another type of troll; this troll is a forum group poster making a post that is controversial or an outright lie to provoke readers into a flame war. Every time I read a troll’s post I think “Liar liar pants on fire”. Sometimes I just want to scream that at the top of my lungs. What is it that makes people twist the truth to justify their own needs? The story keeps changing or the trolls say things that just don’t add up.
Why can’t people mind their own business? I swear some people just want interruption and chaos. I swear they live for it. Why do they enjoy harassing people? People like this have only one purpose and that is to create a “War of Flames”, in which a group of people express their opinion on a sensitive person or topic. This only benefits them, so they post lies about good and honest people.
They feel that by provoking the topic, they will draw you in, where the bunch of them can pounce on you as soon as you post. Soon your name is Googled and you are labeled as a horrible person. Scam sites are popping up all over the web, instead posting actual scam statements; they are posting anything that destroys the reputation of good and honest people. Scam sites have quickly become a place to criticize other people for the benefit of the owner, and in the end, hard-working people trying to make a life and career for themselves fall victim.
If you are treating someone this way, I have to ask you, are you proud of yourself? Do you really think this person deserves to be humiliated and burned on a message board and who are you to decide? Do you really know how much damage you are causing this person?
I’m sorry, but I guess I just don’t get it. These people you are calling are nothing to you. Ewww, and ahhhh and laugh all you want. I bet your flamingo feels like this animal in a cage. People come back because they want to see the blood, pain, and anger that you are causing this person. Of course you bait flamethrower troll have no problem providing it. It doesn’t matter how stupid your victim seems. It’s always the same bull, hints and baits, followed by threats of exposure. It’s good for ratings, right? If this was a TV show, you’d be a huge hit.
Trolls are nothing more than cruel people who enjoy hurting others. Sorry trolls, but I see them as nothing more than someone who likes to stir the pot and cause trouble by twisting history and filling it with lies to please themselves. I guess what’s good for the goose is good for the goose.
Someone will surely remember me after reading this article, “Rose Desrochers, Don’t Feed the Trolls.” So now you know everything about trolls. I guess internet trolls aren’t really any different than the ones that live under the bridge, right?
