Nokia has already announced its highly anticipated N8 smartphone in the month of April and it is expected to be priced at around £320. Apple has also unveiled the N8’s main competitor in the form of the iPhone 4, but its price is unknown. The latest Apple iPhone 4 may be more expensive than Nokia’s N8 version, but users will definitely not only consider the price factor. There are several top notch aspects and specifications that will drive the crowd towards these most popular mobile phones of recent times.

Some people are die-hard fans of the brand and will give their thumbs up to Apple’s latest arrival. There is always a high level of excitement whenever a new Apple product is released. So there is a slight advantage in favor of Apple’s iPhone 4, but that depends solely on the hype factor. If Nokia offers some great features with the N8, then the company has a winner in the making as Nokia has a great reputation for making mobile phones.

In terms of appearance, there is no doubt that both devices are very attractive. Nokia N8 seems to be a bit thinner compared to the iPhone version 4. However, Apple’s iPhone 4 is slightly wider compared to the N8 and its edges are more rounded.

The iPhone 4 display is a 3.5-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 640 x 960 pixels. On the other hand, N8 brings a superior 3.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touch screen. Although the screen size is the same, the AMOLED factor of the Nokia N8 makes a big difference.

Now, let’s take a look at another vital feature of these two mobile phones – the camera. The camera of the Nokia N8 wins by miles as it has a top notch 12 mega pixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, xenon flash and auto focus. Compared to that, the iPhone 4 packs a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and autofocus.

Both the Nokia N8 and the Apple 4 have managed to generate a good level of curiosity among mobile phone enthusiasts. Now, we have to wait for the launch of these two phones to see which one performs better. The expected launch date of the latest iPhone is June 24, while the N8 is expected to hit the market in the third quarter of 2010.
