The critically acclaimed Saints Row series is back with Saints Row: The Third as the next game in the series. This game is an action-adventure video game that is played from a third-person point of view. This open world title offers a combination of action and driving gameplay, and the player can freely explore the game environment by choosing to play the main story missions of the game or numerous side missions provided throughout the game world.
HISTORY:
The gang known as the Third Street Saints became megastars in Stilwater after their exploits in Saints Row 2 and have become a household name, with their own clothing line and brand of soda. Sadly, in Saints Row: The Third, the international criminal organization, called the Syndicate, has moved into Saints Turf and taken full control of the Stilwater metropolis. This forces the Saints to move to the rundown market town of Steelport.
The Syndicate game has now started moving to Steelport, and now the Third Street Gang has had enough and decides to fight back. The Syndicate runs 3 different gangs in Steelport called the Morning Star, Luchadores and Deckers and now it’s an all out war between the Saints and these street gangs. STAG (Special Tactical Anti-Gang) units from the United States have also been tasked with preventing warfare between the gangs within Steelport.
HOW TO PLAY:
Within Saints Row: The Third, you take control of the leader of the Saints gang, and completing missions rewards you with money, vehicles, weapons, and respect. Earned respect can be spent to upgrade your character’s skill set, for example weapons and melee skills.
The money can be used to purchase clothing, weapons, vehicles, as well as upgrades to existing weapons and cars, such as adding a grenade launcher or gun sights to an assault rifle. The money could also be used to improve the general appearance of your gang and its base of operations, as well as to buy properties and shops in the city.
Weaponry seen in previous games in the franchise is present and will include pistols, SMGs, assault rifles, grenades, chainsaws, satchel bombs, swords, and sledgehammers. The new weaponry in this game includes:
Call in Air Strikes: Air strikes guided by a laser marker that allows you to take out groups of opponents at once.
Predator Drone – These are controlled through a top down view and you guide your drone and can drop various types of bombs on your target.
RC Gun – Shoot this innovative weapon at any vehicle and this attaches a kind of bug on the motor vehicle. This bug allows you to control the vehicle via the remote.

This game offers cooperative gameplay and Saints Row: The Third can be played cooperatively with another player. The other player can participate in all missions and activities in the game.
Saints Row: The Third will be released on November 18, 2011 and will be released for these platforms: PS3, PC Systems and Microsoft Xbox 360. The publisher of the game is THQ, and this game is developed by Volition, Inc. Multiplayer options will be catered in this game, and up to 2 players can join.
